Satoshi Nakamoto ist die anonyme Person oder Gruppe von Personen, die Bitcoin, die erste dezentralisierte Kryptowährung der Welt, geschaffen haben und 2008 das ursprüngliche Whitepaper mit dem Titel “Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System” verfasst haben. Nakamoto hat auch die erste Version der Bitcoin-Software entwickelt und die ersten Blöcke der Bitcoin-Blockchain im Frühjahr 2009 abgebaut. Trotz ausgiebiger Spekulation wurde die wahre Identität von Satoshi Nakamoto nie öffentlich bestätigt – es bleibt eine der größten Geheimnisse in der Tech- und Finanzwelt. Man glaubt, dass Nakamotos geschätzte Bitcoin-Besitzung mehr als eine Million BTC beträgt, was, abhängig vom Marktpreis, mehrere Milliarden Dollar wert sein könnte.
